We leave this show invigorated, with a longing to discover what it’s like to live love as a fiery dance. Catherine Makereel – Le Soir
A concentrate of elegance and delight!
In his apartment, stacked with trinkets, a man appears to be enjoying life, going about his daily occupations. Little by little, we start to notice a presence, inhabiting his universe. She fills up space and time, she’s everywhere! This presence, it’s her: Joséphina.
This poetic play, romantic and nostalgic, portrays with marvel the tenderness and anguish of couples. A testimony of a love turning into obsession through snippets of their lives; their bodies brushing by, colliding, halting, embracing and comforting each other. Through this representation, which is like a fiery dance, it’s up to the audience to makeshift their own interpretation of what’s going on. The Belgian company Chaliwaté has developed its creation around the interaction of movement and speech. This creative patchwork puts the bodies on the spot, resulting in a very telling outcome that immerses us fully in the story’s plot.
Suitable for all audiences, this show has broadly circulated and received awards all over the world.
